1947 Cream of Wheat Advertisement - Daily Vintage Flashback

This 1947 Cream of Wheat advertisement is done in a creative series of  individual comic strip scenes. I personally have never been a fan of cream of wheat, oatmeal or anything like it. It's a texture thing for me I guess but my sisters and mother always loved it. I must admit though, at 1 cent a bowl it certainly would have been appealing to feed it to your family, knowing it was also nutritious. Of course that was the price in 1947 but I imagine it's still economical. So, I guess the ad is right, you can't beat it!
